DISASTER!!
When coming to the final stages of the editing, a technical error came about where most or all of the video files for the project have been deleted, so therefore we could do a little amount of work with the actual final cut. I then discovered that the files them self can be recovered from the trash bin on the desktop, therefore that saved us a lot of trouble, and enabled us to finish off the rest of the editing.

feedback and critics
After finishing our first edit draft for My Turf, it was showed to other groups and classes for feedback be it positive or negative. These are some of the feeds we got:-
2 We are currently working on fixing the sound effects of the bullets to synch with the action.
3 Good to hear positive remarks on the title. we tried making it different and creative.
5 The camera was abit shakey on the mirror shot but i didnt notice until i heard the comment.
6 music was a key part to potraay the rise in tension between each scene.
8 After looking at the feeds on the scene where Mike throws the shuriken at me, we decided to take that shot out and replaace it with a clack screen but leaving the sfx over the black screen to suggest the shuriken was thrown at me.
10 the idea of Mike wearing a suit is because his character is rich and powerful, dresses smart to hise his true nature as a cold bloogeg killer.
12 The storyline cant be understood just from watching the opening of a film. Crime thrillers do not reveal much about the narration at the start of the film so this opening sequence stays conventional to its genre.
13 we looked again at the first draft and took out the gun shots sfx then replaced it with another one created on garage band.

Editing
The editing for the opening sequence has nearly been completed. Using different programs I have been able to produce a good quality opening sequence using sounds from soundtrack pro, a soundtrack created using a recording studio and edited on Fruity Loops, animations from Motion to create an effective production company name. I also used Photoshop CS to create another production company logo "Seaview Pictures" accompanied by a sound from soundtrack pro. These were all then put together on Final Cut pro, which is an editing software, to produce a 2 minute opening sequence to a movie named "My Turf".
We first used Final Cut Pro to get all of out main opening sequence together, and that didnt take much time, as I first got the frames to match the storyboard, later modifications would then be made accordingly to sounds and constructive criticism, I then removed most of the sound from the actual shot in the frames itself, and the backing sound was replaced by a soundtrack created by Marius Maldem, and i also replaced the non and diegetic sounds with SFX used from SoundTrack Pro, which contains a plethora of different sounds.
During the editing i also wanted to apply my intended effect on mulitple frames, where the same subject was viewed from different angles but in a 1-3 second sequence of frames, this gave a distorted but great effect on the sequence, as i also managed to synchronize the frames with the beats of the soundtrack.

Sounds
Throughout the editing stage, i have come up with an array of different sounds to give the proper diegetic feel to the film opening sequence.
The program i will be using to produce most, or even all of the diegetic sounds for the opening sequence is called Soundtrack Pro, which is part of a movie production package for Apple Macintosh. The program has a pletherer of sounds and SFX which can be put together to make a whole soundtrack or even the smallest effect of a pindrop.
The sounds effects i will be using from this program will be :
Silenced Pistol
Alarm Clock
Door Shut
Door open
Throwing Knife
Water Run
Water Drop
Bullet Drop
These Sound effects would give the opening sequence a better and realistic feel as i will also edit the offset of the sound, with the left and right balance, therefore, if viewed in surround sound, it would give a better effect as the sounds will be heard from where they appear on the screen, this technique is also used in mainstream production movies, to give the audience a "mind blowing" experience so to say.

Seaview pictures
As part of our sequence producttion we created and produced a logo for our first production and distrubution conpany (seaview pictures). examples of iconic film production companies logos are
Universal Pictures and 20th century fox are amogst the biggest and long lasting production compainies from U.S and around the world.
They are the backbones behinnd movie succeses. They produce box office hollywood blockbusters around the year and have a high amount of turnover from big movie sales.
production and distrubution company logos are always the first to be seen at the start of a film sequence. Most production companies specialise in genres of films e.g
Lionsgate
Walt disney pictures specialises in cartoons and kids movies such as the succesfull (High school
Seaview Pictures logo

Our primary production company name is Seaview Pictures. To create a logo for the name we thought it will be conventional to use an image of the sun setting behind a sea. the picture was copied from a google image search and added unto Adobe Photoshop. we used exposure tools on photoshop th change the colour id the original image making it look abit darker. then the name was added unto the image using the insert text tool.
This Logo will appear at the start of the opening sequence.
